District of Curves has been the DMV's home for full-figured fashion since 2014. Every year, we put plus-size talent on the runway and in front of the camera. As a result, DOC Next Top Model has become the place where the next face of this movement gets discovered.
This is not a traditional modeling competition. Instead, we are looking for someone who owns her presence and represents her community. She is ready to show up — on camera, on the runway, and in every room she walks into.

Year One Winner — Liesl Michelle 
Liesl Michelle made history as the first-ever DOC Next Top Model winner. She took the title in front of a live audience at the Annual DOC Fashion Show. From there, she stepped into a full year of brand activations, runway appearances, and editorial features under the District of Curves banner.
She showed up. She owned the room. As a result, she became the face of the movement. Now we're looking for Year Two.
A full production shoot with wardrobe, hair, and makeup all covered. Furthermore, your images will be featured across DOC promotional materials throughout the year.
Featured placement on DOC flyers, ads, signage, and digital content for the following year. In other words, you become the face of the movement.
When DOC secures brand deals, our winner is part of the conversation. Because of this, you get first access to brand opportunities as they come through the platform.

Semifinalists will be notified and asked to complete two additional video challenges. Specifically, this is where we separate contenders from competitors. Both challenges test how well you know yourself and your community.
Film yourself putting together a complete look from your own closet. No shopping allowed. Show us how you style for your body and your taste. Then explain your choices on camera.
Tell us what plus-size representation means to you and why it matters right now. However, don't give a speech. Instead, talk to us the way you'd talk to your followers.
